There are other units in their range but this is for Raymarine instrumentation with a Seatalk enabled unit.

To receive the AIS signals you also need an aerial or you could use a splitter and use your existing VHF aerial.

==== RtlSdr USB Dongle ====

There is an OpenCPN RTLsdr Plugin which assists with use of these devices for Linux Users for AIS purposes. 

We have found that for the average user, one of the other low cost choices may be better, however John Cameron has provided some excellent documentation for using these devices under Windows 10. He has had good success with his use of these dongles.
